The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is located in Speedway, Indiana. It is home to the famous races, like the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. With seating inside of more than 257,000 people and more seating in the infield addition, it is large enough for around 400,000 people. It is the largest capacity for a sports facility in the world.

Since 1909, this speedway has been entertaining the racing crowds. The track is two-and-a-half-miles and is flat. With construction that began in 1998, there was an infield road course added. In the early 2000′s, this site hosted the United States Grand Prix for Formula One. Since its opening in 1909, more than 248 car races have taken place here. In 2008, the site began hosting the Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Down through history, there have been several other races that have been hosted here. One can visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum and see all the history of the track and the great features that it has.
